Lockheed Picks Curtiss-Wright Turret Drive System for UK Reconnaissance Vehicle


Scout RVTYSONS CORNER, VA July 20, 2015 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has asked Curtiss-Wright to go ahead with production of the Turret Drive Servo System for installation on the British Army’s fleet of Scout specialist vehicles, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

Curtiss-Wright said the new $49-million contract follows an initial order worth $13 million to demonstrate the TDSS’ electromechanical aiming and stabilization technology and that it expects to complete the project by 2021.
