Lockheed Performs Legion Pod Target Tracker Flight Tests; Paul Lemmo Comments

TYSONS CORNER, VA July 1, 2015 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) recently integrated its Legion Pod sensor system aboard an F-16 aircraft for maiden flight tests to demonstrate its target detection and tracking capabilities, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

The company said Legion Pod contains IRST21 infrared sensor technology with advanced networking and data processing hardware and software.

“Legion Pod is a production-ready, multisensor system, with our most advanced hardware and software, a hot production line and an established logistics depot, ” said Paul Lemmo, vice president of fire control at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.
