Lockheed Martin Lands $154M Electronic Warfare Upgrade Contract with US Navy


lockheed martinLockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a $153, 947, 183 contract modification to update electronic warfare systems on U.S. Navy ships.

The new systems are meant to upgrade the Navy’s existing AN/SLQ-32(V) EW technology under the surface electronic warfare improvement program, the Defense Department said Friday.

Lockheed Martin will perform work in New York, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts through April 2018.

SEWIP aims to keep surface electronic warfare systems up-to-date with threats by using modern electronic support receivers and combat system interface.
