General Dynamics Reports 5% Revenue Jump for 2Q, Profit Up 39%

General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has reported a 5.46-percent increase in revenue year-over-year for its fiscal year 2015 second quarter ended July 5, 2015 and a 39-percent jump in revenue for the quarter.

Total revenue for the second quarter was $7.88 billion and profit for that same period reached approximately $752 million, the Falls Church, Va.-based defense contractor said.

The company also reported revenue growth for its information systems and technology group, aerospace and marine systems business segments.
