TYSONS CORNER, VA July 9, 2015 — As chief information officer at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC), Bob Fecteau has helped manage a flexible information technology team that could be both customer-facing and valuable in-house at the same time, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

Forbes.com said Tuesday Fecteau employed the labor pool model when he came onboard as CIO of the service-oriented company as one means to empower the workforce.

“One of our core principles is that nobody works alone… [and] another principle that is really hard and fast within our IT operation — people have a desire and a need to work, ” he told Forbes contributor Pete High.

“I am here to provide them a platform for to excel. By doing that we allow them to make decisions.”
