Abt Associates has appointed Mauricio Poodts,  Thierry van Bastelaer and Melinda Williams to vice president roles in the company’s information technology, international health and corporate communications organizations.
“We are proud to recognize these exceptional leaders who are critical to our success as a company, ” Abt Associates President and CEO Kathleen Flanagan said Monday.
Poodts, the company’s deputy chief information officer, will be in charge of IT strategy, policy and services and has previously worked in the energy and construction industries.
Van Bastelaer is a senior fellow and health finance professional at Abt, founder and director of the company’s Risk and Resilience Methods Center and board member at the Microinsurance Network.
Williams previously served as director of marketing at Abt and worked on marketing, public relations, advertising and event management at various nonprofit, healthcare and development organizations.
