TYSONS CORNER, VA June 15, 2015 — Executive Mosaic — Engility Holdings (NYSE: EGL) helped demonstrate an aerial refueling of the Northrop Grumman-built (NYSE: NOC) X-47B unmanned aircraft in April using navigation software the Chantilly firm has created for the U.S. Navy, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

Tony Smeraglinolo, Engility president and CEO and an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 list for 2015, said Thursday the company’s engineers and fabricators in Hollywood, Maryland, made up the support team.

Through the aerial-refueling technology testing program, Engility hopes to help “extend the range and time aloft of our nation’s unmanned aircraft fleet, providing critical mission support… in different environments, ” he added.
