Tarek El-Sadany, formerly vice president of global product support services at Oracle (NYSE: ORCL), has joined Unisys (NYSE: UIS) as chief technology officer and senior vice president for technology.
Unisys said Monday El-Sadany will lead an organization that works toward technology delivery based on client requirements and updated delivery models.
He will report to Unisys CEOÂ Peter Altabef.
“Tarek’s broad experience in product development, services, government and entrepreneurship make him the ideal executive to drive Unisys’ technology business forward, “Â Altabef said.
“As both a provider and an evaluator of leading-edge technology, Tarek has gained extraordinary insights into the challenges enterprise clients face and the sophisticated solutions they need to compete in a constantly changing marketplace.”
El-Sadany has held leadership positions at Remedy Informatics,  Datacme Corp. and TenFold Corp. and has worked in Egypt’s public sector as chairman and CEO of the Egypt National Post and CEO of the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center.
