Systems Made Simple Lands 2 VA IT Support Contracts


Systems Made SimpleSystems Made Simple has been awarded two contracts to help the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs update the agency’s pharmaceutical software applications and develop information technology performance monitoring metrics.

The Lockheed Martin-owned (NYSE: LMT) company said it will build clinical decision support tools for VA pharmacists to crosscheck prescriptions and medicine dosages.

VA’s recompete Pharmacy Re-engineering Program covers the modernization of the Pharmacy Enterprise Customization System Medication Order Check Healthcare Application and Pharmacy Product System.

Under a separate contract, Systems Made Simple will help create methods for measuring and reporting the agency’s progress on meeting IT management goals.

The company will also maintain the VA Performance Reference Model as well as provide data-based analysis of key agency IT projects.
