HII Awarded $24M for Sustainment Work on USS George H.W. Bush


Huntington Ingalls HIITYSONS CORNER, VA June 24, 2015 — ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday on the U.S. Navy awarding $23.8 million to Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) subsidiary Newport News Shipbuilding for modernization work on the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) aircraft carrier.

Chris Miner, vice president for in-service aircraft carrier programs at Newport News Shipbuilding, said Monday the contract will include maintenance and sustainment services on the six-year old Nimitz-class vessel.
