General Dynamics NASSCO Turns Over Floating Base to Navy


general dynamics logoTYSONS CORNER, VA June 17, 2015 — Executive Mosaic — General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) NASSCO has delivered the USNS Lewis B. Puller afloat forward staging base vessel to the U.S. Navy, two years after construction.

The staging base, christened earlier this year, is designed to service MH-60 and MH-53 helicopters and other airlift support missions, General Dynamics said Monday.

The Lewis B. Puller is slated for further updates to accommodate MV-22 tilt-rotor aircraft, it added.
