General Atomics Gets $121M Modification on Gray Eagle UAS Production Contract with Army


General-Atomics-Aeronautical-Systems-LogoGeneral Atomics has received a $121.4 million contract modification from the U.S. Army to build Gray Eagle unmanned aircraft systems and satellite data terminals.

The award covers production of 19 Gray Eagles and 19 satcom terminals and is a modification to a potential $200 million contract the company was awarded in September 2013, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

General Atomics’ aeronautical systems unit will perform work in Poway, California, and is scheduled to finish Sept. 30, 2018.

The Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal is obligating full amount from the military service’s fiscal 2015 other procurement funds.
