DCCA Wins $24M CMS Contract for Health IT Incentive Program’s Data Repository; David Bower Comments


electronic-health-record-EHRThe Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has awarded a potential $24 million contract to Data Computer Corp. of America to provide technology support services for the agency’s National Level Repository.

DCCA said Thursday NLR is a data system designed to track “meaningful use” of electronic health records by health providers under the incentive payment initiative of the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act.

“Keeping the HITECH/NLR program running efficiently and effectively is our number-one priority, ” DCCA CEO David Bower said.

“The ability to advance the adoption of EHRs is an important improvement for CMS as an agency as well as the citizens it serves.”

DCCA is a Maryland-based veteran-owned information technology firm that offers cybersecurity, systems development, analytics, cloud computing, testing and other IT support services for government agencies.
