Boeing to Repair Minuteman III Guidance Set for $466M

Minuteman IIIBoeing (NYSE: BA) has received a $466.5 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to repair the guidance system of the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile.

The Defense Department said Wednesday Boeing will perform missile guidance repairs at a facility in Newark, Ohio, through June 2, 2021.

DoD has initially obligated $22.7 million from fiscal year 2015 operations and maintenance funds.

Minuteman III missiles are part of the triad of U.S. nuclear deterrent warheads alongside the U.S. Navy submarine-launched missiles and Air Force bombers.
