The Defense Department said Tuesday the Data Link Solutions JV will provide support for the Navy and potentially other U.S. military branches and international governments.
Potential foreign military sale customers for the MIDS JTRS terminals include countries in Asia, Europe, North and South America, the Middle East and NATO member nations.
Data Link Solutions will perform work in Iowa and New Jersey through June 15, 2020, DoD said.
The obligated amount of $1 million is from fiscal 2015 operations and maintenance funds.
According to DoD, the MIDS Program Office works to support tactical communications between joint, coalition and allied forces.
