The four-channel software-defined radio is designed to gather and transmit broadband, resist jamming attempts and protect data and voice across various platforms, the Defense Department said Thursday.
ViaSat will carry out the task in Carlsbad, California, through May 27, 2020, Â under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
The contract also includes orders from other U.S. armed services, Austria, Chile, Finland, Israel, Jordan, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the U.K and NATO.
