Sunil Ramchand Promoted to CEO at Mission Essential; Chad Monnin Comments

Sunil Ramchand, chief strategy and business development officer at Mission Essential since 2012, has been promoted to CEO at the Herndon, Virginia-based contractor.

He succeeds Peter Horvath, who has held the CEO post for the past three years, and will report to Chairmen Chad Monnin and Gregory Miller, Mission Essential said Wednesday.

Monnin said Ramchand has helped the company establish its language services business and build analytics partnerships with the intelligence community.

Ramchand joined the company in 2009 and has also held the roles of executive vice president, chief of staff, chief administrative officer.

He is also a U.S. Navy veteran and served in military and civilian positions at the White House.
