Northrop’s Marshall Greenspan Picked for IEEE Picard Medal

TYSONS CORNER, VA May 29, 2015 — GovCon Executive reported Thursday on Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) veteran Marshall Greenspan being named a recipient of the Picard Medal for Radar Technologies and Applications by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

He was cited “for contributions to the development of multiple phase-center airborne surface surveillance and targeting radars, ” Northrop said Wednesday.

Greenspan has spent most of his 50-year career developing radar concepts, systems and technology that the military upgraded and adopted through the years for various platforms and applications, including the Joint STARS deployed in the first Gulf War.
