Northrop Global Hawk Wins USAF Sustainment Award for 2015

northrop Grumman_BLUETYSONS CORNER, VA May 5, 2015 — Executive Mosaic — GovCon Executive reported Monday on Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) winning this year’s Dr. James G. Roche Sustainment Award for the RQ-4 Global Hawk platform’s maintenance and logistics readiness programs.

It is the unmanned aircraft system’s third time to receive the U.S. Air Force award in as many years, Northrop said Monday.

“The Roche award is significant because it focuses solely on the numbers, ” said Mick Jaggers, program director for the Global Hawk UAS.

The aircraft was evaluated for performance, availability, capability rates for maintenance and supply, and other sustainment factors.
