Navy Orders TB-37 Surface Ship Sonars from Lockheed


lockheed martinTYSONS CORNER, VA May 27, 2015 — ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday on Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) securing a contract to build seven TB-37 Multifunction Towed Array sonar systems for $27.3 million.

The next-generation passive and active sonar receiver works to “significantly (contribute) to the capability of surface ships to detect, localize and prosecute undersea threats, and is a critical sensor to a combat systems suite, the Defense Department said Friday.
