Liam Walsh: KPMG Wraps Up Beacon Purchase


KPMGlogoKPMG LLP has closed its purchase of Beacon Partners to add clinical management and technology consulting offerings to KPMG’s healthcare advisory services portfolio.

“We seek to provide our clients with additional expertise in electronic health records implementation and optimization services, ” Liam Walsh, KPMG’s U.S. advisory industry leader for the healthcare and life sciences business, said Monday.

Walsh added both companies aim to deliver end-to-end platforms for healthcare organizations to address efficiency and quality issues.

The New York-based audit, tax and advisory company first announced the transaction during the HIMSS15 conference on health information technology in April.
