IBM Hands Smarter Cities Challenge Grant to 16 Winners


IBM logoTYSONS CORNER, VA May 14, 2015 — Executive Mosaic — IBM (NYSE: IBM) has picked 16 municipalities as recipients of its Smarter Cities Challenge grant for 2015-2016 that includes pro bono consultancy work worth $500, 000 per engagement, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

IBM said Tuesday it will provide Watson analytics services in addition to sending experts to the winning cities with the aim to help with critical issues, drive better policy decisions and improve citizen services.
