General Dynamics NASSCO Awarded USS Mitscher Ship Modernization Contract

general dynamics logoGeneral Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) NASSCO subsidiary has received a potential $40 million contract to help the U.S. Navy‘s modernize its USS Mitscher warship.

The Navy initially awarded $36.4 million to NASSCO and the contract will reach its full potential value if all options are exercised, NASSCO said Wednesday.

Work also includes maintenance and repair services.

NASSCO will perform contract work in Norfolk, Virginia, and is scheduled to finish in March 2016.
