Army Awards $263M Logistics Contract to VSE-CB&I JV; Maurice Gauthier Comments


acquisitionA joint venture of VSE Corp. (Nasdaq: VSEC) and CB&I Federal Services has won a $263 million contract to perform logistics support services at the U.S. Army’s Fort Benning, Georgia-based facility.

VS2 LLC will maintain materials, supply tools, provide ammunition services and conduct logistics analysis and management functions for the Army, VSE said Monday.

The task order contains a one-year base period,  four one-year options and an additional six-month option.

“The VS2 Team was formed specifically to provide mission-ready responsive logistics in support of various Army installations under the EAGLE (Enhanced Army Global Logistics Enterprise) contract, including Fort Benning, ” said Maurice Gauthier, VSE president, CEO and chief operating officer.

VS2 will collaborate with Advanced Technology Logistics, Bering Straits Logistics Services, DA Defense Logistics, The Logistics Company and Accent Controls for the contract.
