Raytheon Lands $2B Patriot Missile Sale; Daniel Crowley Comments


Raytheon logoRaytheon (NYSE: RTN) has been awarded a more than $2 billion contract to provide Patriot fire units, equipment and training services to an international customer.

The company said Friday it booked the contract as a direct commercial sale during the second quarter of its 2015 fiscal year.

Patriot air and missile defense systems are designed to track and engage hostile aircraft, unmanned aerial systems and tactical ballistic and cruise missiles.

Daniel Crowley, president of Raytheon’s integrated defense systems business, said the company has received more than $5 billion in Patriot orders from international clients since late December 2014.
