Navy Awards 13 Companies Spots on $49M ISR R&D Support Contract


research-and-development-RDThe U.S. Navy has selected 13 companies as contractors on its five-year, $49 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to support the service’s research and development work on intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems.

The Defense Department said Tuesday the vendors will perform work at locations in Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia through April 2020.

Each contractor will receive an obligated amount of $100 at the time of award from the Navy’s working capital funds.

The chosen companies are as follows:

  • Alion Science and Technology
  • BAE Systems
  • Charles Stark Draper Laboratory
  • DigitalGlobe (NYSE: DGI)
  • Exelis (NYSE: XLS)
  • G3 Technologies
  • Herrick Technology Laboratories
  • The HumanGeo Group
  • Leidos (NYSE: LDOS)
  • NAL Research
  • Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) Xetron
  • Scientific Research Corp.
  • Southwest Research Institute

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division is the contracting activity.
