acquisitionMotorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) has further added to its public safety portfolio with the acquisition of PublicEngines, a Utah-based provider of citizen engagement and public safety products for government and law enforcement agencies.

“The acquisition of PublicEngines reinforces Motorola Solutions’ commitment to helping our customers implement intelligence-led strategies that deter crime and improve outcomes, ” Bob Schassler, Motorola Solutions executive vice president for solutions and services,  said Wednesday.
