Motorola SolutionsÂ (NYSE: MSI) has further added to its public safety portfolio with theÂ acquisition of PublicEngines, aÂ Utah-based provider ofÂ citizenÂ engagement and public safetyÂ products for government and law enforcement agencies.

PublicEngines’ cloud-based offeringsÂ includeÂ CommandCentral Analytics, Â CommandCentral Predictive, CrimeReportsÂ and TipSoft, which provideÂ data visualization, predictive policing, crime mapping andÂ tip management functions, respectively.
Motorola said the addition ofÂ PublicEngines’ products to its portfolio works to bolster situational awareness and citizen interaction in public safety programs.
This transaction follows Motorola’s FebruaryÂ acquisition ofÂ Emergency CallWorks, a maker of public emergency communications software.
