John Veihmeyer: KPMG Makes Healthcare Mgmt Services Push with Beacon Partners Buy


electronic-health-record-EHRKPMG LLP has agreed to acquire Massachusetts-based healthcare management and technology consulting firm Beacon Partners for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition is intended to supplement KPMG’s clinical processing, accountable care organization development, analytics and revenue cycle management service offerings for the healthcare sector, KPMG said Sunday.

John Veihmeyer, KPMG global chairman, said the company aims to strengthen its market position as more healthcare organizations seek assistance to implement new business strategies and technology platforms.

The Beacon Partners buy would mark KPMG LLP’s ninth acquisition deal over the past 17 months.
