GSA Issues RFP for 3rd-Gen Leasing Support Services Contract

GSAThe General Services Administration is seeking proposals for the third generation of the GSA Leasing Support Services contract that works to provide the agency’s contracting officers with support for broker and leasing activity.

GSA said Monday the request for proposals includes revisions to the components of strategic planning services, commission agreements, small business participation and training based on feedback to the draft solicitation released in November.

“In addition to previous improvements made to GLS, contractors will now have even more flexibility when it comes to providing strategic planning services and commission agreements will be structured in accordance with normal broker industry practices, ” said Chris Wisner, assistant commissioner for leasing at GSA.

“Small businesses will also have more opportunities to compete for prime awards.”

According to GSA, services include market surveys, site visits and documentation preparation to help tenant agencies generate estimated rent credits of $100 million and streamline the lease cycle.

Responses to the RFP are due May 21.

The RFP’s listing on FedBizOpps indicates that GSA plans to award nine 12-month contracts by September 4.
