TYSONS CORNER, VA April 24, 2015 — Executive Mosaic — ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday on Exelis’ (NYSE: XLS) rollout of Symphony RangeVue with “sense and avoid” alerting technology built for unmanned aerial system operators.

The Symphony suite uses geofencing tools to provide map, weather and surveillance information for field or test range mission use, the company said Thursday.

The product leverages real-time surveillance data from the Federal Aviation Administration that, combined with its built-in alerting capabilities, would work to improve UAS operation safety, said Edward Sayadian, vice president of civil and aerospace solutions at Exelis.
