Dan Smith, a more than 15-year information technology veteran and formerly a vice president at Govplace, has joined Knowledge Consulting Group as chief solution architect.
He will lead KCG’s efforts to create technology-based cybersecurity offerings as well as marketing campaigns in the mobility and cloud computing markets, KCG said Wednesday.
“His proficiency across a broad range of enterprise technologies and integration approaches will help us to develop new applications and technical solutions for our public sector and commercial customers, ” said KCG President Maryann Hirsch.
Smith most recently oversaw technology, continuous diagnostics and mitigation, capture and system integration operations at Govplace.
Before that, he worked as senior manager of solution consulting and engineering at IT company GTSI, where he led technical support work for federal, state and local government organizations.
He holds multiple security certificates and industry qualifications.
