Billy Maynard, formerly a partner at professional services firm InfiniTek, will join Health Net on May 1 as president of the company’s federal services business unit.
He succeeds Thomas Carrato, who will retire after three years in leadership of the unit, Health Net said Tuesday.
Maynard has managed InfiniTek’s strategic programs in the federal health care market and has worked with Health Net over the last 12 years.
He also worked in business and strategy development roles at defense technology companies.
He is also a U.S. Army veteran and served as executive assistant of NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander for Europe between 1983 and 1990.
He graduated from the U.S. Army Institute of Personnel and Resource Management and obtained a postgraduate certificate in organization development from DePaul University.
