SRA International has agreed to acquire a portion of Qbase‘s government services business for an undisclosed sum in a push to expand work with homeland security, law enforcement and healthcare government agencies.

SRA said Tuesday it expects to complete the acquisition by April and the assets it will purchase encompass information technology and professional services.

Qbase is a privately-held software products and services company that works with customers in the intelligence, national security, government, healthcare and energy sectors.

Bill Ballhaus,  SRA President and CEO, said the company made the deal in a push to “strengthen SRA’s presence in the health IT, homeland security and law enforcement markets.”

Ballhaus added that the transaction combines the organizations’ cybersecurity, software engineering and IT infrastructure portfolios as well as their customer relationships.

More than 230 Qbase employees will join SRA when the deal closes.
