Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) will continue its cyber defense support for the Defense Information Systems Agency‘s Acropolis and Sensor Operations program following the award of a four-year, $73. 6 million task order.
The company said Thursday the task order is under the Encore II Information Technology Solutions vehicle and extends Northrop’s lead role in providing cyber defense and situational awareness functions for DISA-managed networks.
“The DISA Acropolis mission is critical to national security, ” said Shawn Purvis, vice president and general manager of the cyber division at Northrop’s information systems business.
“This massive global network must operate 24/7, be resilient and ready to identify and eliminate formidable threats.”
The task order covers support for the Defense Department‘s Joint Information Environment, DoD Enterprise Services and DoD Information Network, and the operations and maintenance of the Computer Network Defense across DoDIN, Northrop said.
