March 9 Morning Report: GovCon Index Friday Close Sees 1% Decline


GovConIndexDOWNThe GovCon Index declined 1.327 percent Friday to close at 68.397 (0.896%), with Intelsat (NYSE: I),  Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) and Textron (NYSE: TXT) the only companies to record gains.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 1.54 percent to 17, 856.78, the Standard & Poor’s 500 composite index declined 1.42 percent to 2, 071.26 and the NASDAQ composite index fell 1.11 percent to 4, 927.37.
