The Defense Department said Friday that Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control will provide 10 Sniper targeting systems as well as multiband data links, digital data recorders and associated software to Jordan’s air force through a third-party transfer.
Sniper pods are designed to integrate with F-16 aircraft and employ electro-optical and infrared imaging sensors for identifying targets.
The U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is the contracting activity and DoD expects Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control to complete work on Nov. 27, 2016.
