General Dynamics to Help Army Update Logistics Documentation for Buffalo Trucks


general dynamics logoA General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) business unit has been awarded a $22.7 million contract to help update logistics requirements for the U.S. Army‘s fleet of Buffalo A2 M1272 armored trucks.

General Dynamics Land Systems said Tuesday it will perform work in Sterling Heights, Michigan, and is scheduled to finish by March 2018.

The Buffalo A2 belongs to the mine-protected route-clearance vehicle class and is designed to guard military users against mines and improvised explosives.

General Dynamics Land Systems estimates that 238 Buffalo A2 trucks have been delivered to U.S. military units globally.
