CenturyLink Opens New Tech Center of Excellence in Louisiana

CenturyLinkTYSONS CORNER, VA March 26, 2015 — Executive Mosaic — ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday on CenturyLink’s (NYSE: CTL) new technology center of excellence in Monroe, Louisiana, which began operations this week.

According to Glen Post II, president and CEO of CenturyLink, the opening of the facility embodies the company’s business strategy of becoming an integrated  provider of cloud, networking, hosting and other information technology services.

“A key aspect of the technology center is the creation of a world-class research and development hub where we will be able to develop, test and run technology innovations that will help shape our future and serve our customers, ” Post said Tuesday.

“The facility includes a customer experience center where we can demonstrate CenturyLink’s latest offerings and a state-of-the art executive briefing center that will enable sales and support teams to present our latest solutions to current and prospective customers.”

The company is applying for LEED certification for the building, which has a “green” roof, recyclable carpet and furniture systems, and electrochromic glass windows.
