Toni Townes-Whitley, a former executive at CGI Group‘s (NYSE: GIB) U.S. federal market subsidiary, has been appointed vice president of the worldwide public sector at Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), a Microsoft spokesperson has confirmed to GovCon Wire.
At Microsoft, she will lead a team of 2, 000 employees that work withÂ government, education and non-privatized healthcare organizationsÂ in more than 100 countries on projects related to technology, operations, Â citizen services and economic growth.

At the CGI Federal subsidiary, she held executive roles in an organization comprised ofÂ 6, 600 employees in more than 70 countriesÂ that work with U.S. government civilian, defense and intelligence agencies.
