The Defense Security Cooperation Agency announced Thursday that the potential deal will support the NATO ally’s homeland defense, counterterrorism, border security and humanitarian programs.
The future sale includes nine UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters, 20 T700-GE-701D engines and 20 embedded global positioning systems/inertial navigation systems, plus aviation mission-planning systems, an aviation ground power unit, transponders and radio, landing and air navigation systems.
It also includes services such as facility construction, documentation, personnel training, site surveys, and technical, program and logistics support.
DSCA noted that the deal could also require three U.S. government and five contractor representatives to work on site for up to five years.
