The company will manage facilities, labor, tools and equipment, incidental engineering and transportation at the space research complex for NASA, the agency said Thursday.
Work under the performance-based contract is scheduled to start March 1 and contains one base year, seven one-year options and an additional six-month option.
NASA’s Marshall center is responsible for the development of the agency’s Space Launch System to carry astronauts and cargo to destinations beyond low Earth orbit.
Marshall also oversees scientific projects on the International Space Station, robotic planetary probes and studies of Earthâs weather and human impact on the environment.
