Stocks at index company Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) jumped 3.53 percent after the Virginia-based shipbuilder recorded positive revenue for the 2014 fiscal year.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 154.67 points to 18, 140.44, the Standard & Poor’s 500 composite index increased 12.85 points to 2, 110.30 and the NASDAQ composite index rose 4, 955.97.
