Dan Tangherlini, former head of theÂ General Services Administration, will join Chevy Chase, Md.-basedÂ Artemis Real Estate Partners as chief operating officer onÂ March 30, The Washington Post reported Thursday.
Jonathan O’Connell writes Tangherlini, who left GSA on Feb. 14, will report to Artemis CEO Deborah Harmon, who co-founded the $2 billion real estate firm with current Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker in 2009.
The two-decadeÂ government service veteran has also held leadership roles at theÂ departments of Treasury and Transportation, as well as theÂ Office of Management and Budget, according to the report.
Tangherlini also worked in the Washington, D.C. city government in roles such asÂ transportation director, deputy mayor and city administrator under then-mayorsÂ Anthony Williams and Adrian Fenty.
Artemis invests in office, housing, retail, industrial and other properties.
