Dan Tangherlini Joins Artemis Real Estate Partners as COO

Dan Tangherlini, former head of the General Services Administration, will join Chevy Chase, Md.-based Artemis Real Estate Partners as chief operating officer on March 30, The Washington Post reported Thursday.

Jonathan O’Connell writes Tangherlini, who left GSA on Feb. 14, will report to Artemis CEO Deborah Harmon, who co-founded the $2 billion real estate firm with current Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker in 2009.

The two-decade government service veteran has also held leadership roles at the departments of Treasury and Transportation, as well as the Office of Management and Budget, according to the report.

Tangherlini also worked in the Washington, D.C. city government in roles such as transportation director, deputy mayor and city administrator under then-mayors Anthony Williams and Adrian Fenty.

Artemis invests in office, housing, retail, industrial and other properties.
