Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corp. (NYSE: BLL) has received a $22, 954, 037 contract to modify and repair phased array antenna hardware for the U.S. Navy.
The company’s tactical services unit will work to procure spares, redesign existing hardware and integrate hardware systems into a prototype, the Defense Department said Tuesday.
Boulder, Colorado-based Ball Aerospace will perform work at its Westminster-based facility through February 2020 under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
The Navy owns the hardware under its high throughput networking infrastructure and the Affordable Common Radar Architecture projects.
Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren manages the hardware system and conducts research, development, test and evaluation tasks related to those projects.
