Abt Associates has merged with Boulder, Colorado-based Stratus Consulting to form a new environment and natural resources division within Abt.
Joshua Lipton, formerly president and CEO at Stratus, has been assigned to lead the new unit and will report to Jay Knott, Abt Associates executive vice president and chief business officer, Abt said Wednesday.
Mike Conti, who led Abt’s environmental practice, will serve as Lipton’s chief operating officer.
“Combining with Stratus allows us to diversify our client roster and expand our environmental and ecological sciences capabilities, ” said Knott.
Employees at both Stratus and Abt will proceed with their current projects.
