Schafer to Support DARPA Tactical Technology Office R&D for $97M

SchaferSchafer‘s government services business will provide the Tactical Technology Office of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency with scientific, engineering and technical assistance under a potential three-year, $96.9 million contract.

The company said Thursday it will support DARPA TTO’s research and development activities for new prototype weapons, systems or platforms that create or prevent “tactical surprise.”

According to Schafer, this new indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract is its third successive prime contract with DARPA TTO as the office works toward establishing the U.S. military’s technological advantage.

Schafer added that it has an ongoing 26-year customer relationship with the agency.
