Raytheon 4Q Revenue Up 5%, Profit Jumps 10%


Raytheon logoRaytheon (NYSE: RTN) has announced financial results for the fourth quarter and full 2014 fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2014.

The Waltham, Mass.-based defense technology maker posted a 4.7-percent increase in revenue to $6.14 billion from the prior year period and a 9.9-percent growth in revenue to $586 million from third quarter 2013 figures.

Raytheon recorded $24 billion in backlog for fiscal 2014 and the company saw its international backlog grow from 37 percent to 40 percent of total backlog.

Third-quarter 2014 revenue for the company’s integrated defense systems segment increased 4 percent; the intelligence, information and services segment 5 percent; the missile systems segment 5 percent; and the space and airborne systems segment 3 percent.
