Canopy has named Philippe Llorens as its new CEO to succeed outgoing Jacques Pommeraud, who is bound for Salesforce as senior vice president for success services, Business Cloud News reported Wednesday.
Canopy — a three-year-old alliance that comprises Atos, EMC and VMware — makes cloud products and services for the enterprise such as Cisco networking and VCE converged infrastructure offerings.
“We have an excellent basis on which to further strengthen our business and I am looking forward to working with the Canopy team and our clients, ” Llorens said.
Llorens comes into the leadership role from Compuware, where he spent 15 years in sales and field operations management for the company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa portfolio.
He also previously held management positions at Hewlett-Packard, Sun Microsystems and Thales.
