General Atomics to Provide UAS Logistics Support Under AF Foreign Military Sale


General-Atomics-Aeronautical-Systems-LogoA General Atomics business unit will provide logistics support for U.K.-operated unmanned aircraft as part of a potential $34.6 million foreign military sale through the U.S. Air Force, the San Diego Business Journal reported Thursday.

General Atomics’ aeronautical systems group will perform work through Oct. 31 at facilities in Poway, California, and abroad, the report said.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base handled the award.

The journal reports that the U.K. is among General Atomics’ international customers for the Reaper remotely piloted aircraft.
