Rockwell Collins (NYSE: COL) has won a potential $40 million contract to upgrade the U.S. Navy‘s E-2D Hawkeye integrated training system.
Rockwell Collins said Monday will work with ASI to update an operational flight trainer.
The company will also modify the tactics trainer and maintenance trainer, and supply spares.
LeAnn Ridgeway, vice president and general manager of simulation and training services for Rockwell Collins, said the company will leverage its experience in developing tactical trainers to fill the client’s requirement for a completely integrated system.
The Navy intends for the E-2D Hawkeye to replace the E-2C system.
